IMPORTANT DATES FOR REPORTING AND REGISTRATION

All students both new and continuing in various programmes are required to read, understand and abide by the instructions below.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR REPORTING AND REGISTRATION

Programme Date of Arrival Undergraduate (First Year) 16th September 2013, Undergraduate (Continuing) 23rd September 2013 Masters (MBA-Evening) 16th September 2013 Masters (MEMP-Weekend) 20th September 2013 Diplomas and Certificates 15th October 2013
The registration for all new students shall start from 9.00 a.m. EXCEPT those for MEMP-Weekend) programmes are who shall report from 2.00 p.m.
                                 

REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION

 All selected students shall be registered after fulfillment of the following:
    A. FEES PAYMENT
           (i) No student shall be allowed to register or attend classes unless the required fees have been paid as shown in the fee structure (Visit  www.stemmuco.ac.tz).

          (ii) Bring with you the Original pay-in slip. Cheques, cash, faxes, scanned pay-in slips, emails of                         confirmation of payments and any other form of payments are not acceptable.

          (iii) Fees paid will not be refunded if a student withdraws or leaves the University without permission.

          (iv) However, if a student receives prior permission from the Deputy Principal for Academic Affairs                    (DPAA) to withdraw or to be away from the University and provided that the application in writing                 to withdraw or to be away from the University is submitted within two weeks of the academic                       year or semester, fifty percent (50%) of the fees may be refunded.

 B. DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
          (i) Note your Course Programme.

          (ii) All students must bring Original Degree Certificates and/or Original Transcripts (For masters                         students), Original Certificates of Form Six, Form Four and Diploma/Certificate and Original Birth                Certificate. Note: Photocopies, downloaded internet results, faxes, affidavits and certified results are               not acceptable.
          (iii) Students shall be registered under the names appearing in the Certificates they submitted for the                     application. No change of names shall be accepted unless all requirements provided under                             STEMMUCO Students’ By-Laws have been observed.

           (iv) Students are advised to register for the course programme, which they have been admitted.

  C.  DURING AND AFTER REGISTRATION
        i) No student shall be allowed to postpone studies after the academic year has begun except under                  special circumstances. Permission to postpone studies shall be considered after the student has                      produced satisfactory evidence of the reasons for postponement to the DPAA. Special                                  circumstances shall include ill health or serious social problems.

       (ii) No students shall be allowed to postpone studies during the two weeks preceding final                                 examinations, but may for valid reasons be considered for postponement of examinations.

       (iii) Students shall commit themselves in writing to abide by the University’s Rules and Regulations as                 required in the registration form. A copy of the students Rules and Regulations shall be made                         available to the student through the office of the Dean of Students. Students are encouraged to                       read and abide by them.

       (iv) Students shall be issued identification cards, which they must carry all times and which shall be                      produced when demanded by appropriate University Officers. The identity card is not                                  transferable and any fraudulent use may result in loss of student privileges or suspension.

       (v) Loss of the identity card should be reported to the Office of the Director of Postgraduate                              Studies, where a new one can be obtained after paying an
                 appropriate fee (currently Tshs 10,000/=) as stipulated under STEMMUCO Rules and                                Regulations.

        (vii) Any late registration (two weeks after reporting date) is liable to a penalty of Tshs 100,000/=

Supplementary & Special University Examinations;

Dear Students of Stella Maris Mtwara University College you are hereby informed that for those students who had supplemented in their second semesters University Examinations or for those having the related problems you should have to follow the following instructions;-

1. Supplementary and Special University Examinations shall be done during the next week of 16th - 21st September 2013. Failure to attempt the exams without prior information with undue reasons, the offense shall attract to discontinuation of the Studies subject to the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania's Examination's regulations.

2. There wont be an ample time for sitting for exams to those who shall have missed the exams in accordance to the timetable therefore walk on time to avoid unnecessary difficulties in your academic matters.

3. For having the special cases in matters related to exams should appear in person to the examination's officer for further assistance.

4. Lastly you are instructed to solve your academic matters (If any) by using the proper channels and not otherwise!
